2010 Event Schedule
Friday, July 9
- The annual benefit Welcome Reception introduces Dr Jean-Luc Cartron, who will be on hand to sign his just-released Raptors of New Mexico. We also celebrate the fourth birthday of Electra, a female osprey severely burned as a chick in the Spring of 2006 when her nest atop a nearby power pole caught fire. Special guests include her rescuers, and those participating in her rehabilitation. A portion of your $25 ticket will be donated to The Wildlife Center in Espanola, New Mexico Raptors, and Santa Fe Raptors, for the work they do in rehabilitating injured birds. NOTE: A variety of live uncaged raptors are also in attendance. [Reservations encouraged.]
